All Operations are suspended Temporarily OR NOT

We will reopen the shop as soon as we are ready again! Thanks for all the support, this wouldn’t happen if you didn’t care!

Cheers,
Os

Some very recent examples (and I will personally respond to you guys soon):

“Did you go out of biz?!??!?!?!  PLEASE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!  My submarine pro is the best tone shaping pre amp I’ve ever heard!  Did you ever make the Submarine TMK?  Will you sell off any inventory?  Will you reconsider?!?!?!

Peace and love,
Zach”

” I am/was a HUGE fan of your pedals, (in fact i wish to start making my own despite having NO knowledge of how to do so, i was asking around a few pedal makers if i could work for them for free, but still no! anyway…)

if i offered 175% of the old/ original price of one of your pedals, and as long as you want to make it would you?

Many Regards
Adam”

“As a 40-year, professional bassist, I can safely say there is a market for all of your creations.  With that said…

Take some time off…  And if you decide to resume production, give yourself a raise!

Not telling you what to do.  Just a suggestion…

Jon”

“Just saw your website. Sorry to hear that your may be shutting down. Gave you a great review on Harmony Central a couple years ago under the name luti and I went to your site to browse around. Maybe you can license the submarine to a major company. It is truly fantastic.

David”

“Hey brother!!! I am not liking what I am hearing, I think you need a good spanking! Get over yourself and build me a pedal you coward! – I sometimes kid when I shouldn’t and I rhyme as I do it. :):):)

Jeremiah”

“I visited your site last night for the first time in about a month.  I was sorry to see that you have temporarily closed down.

…..

I think that everyone has to find that mix of doing what you love, and making money that works for them.  Most that only choose one or the other are either broke, or have no soul.  I know you have to do what’s right for you, but if you can help it, don’t just take the money if you’ll hate the work.  Maybe you can find something that you like, that gives you the time to do what you love.

If you decide to build more pedals, I’ll be first back in line.  But if not, I hope that if you love it, you continue to do it for yourself.

Josh”

“It’s a shame that you are even considering quiting. I am actually angry with myself. I am the delaying type of person and I sometimes f..k my chances up. I am offering you twice for Hybrid+ and I have the funds ready. Please sell me one.

Rich”

“Dude… We just talked a month ago and I didn’t have a clue. Otherwise I would get at least another submarine, just as a backup. I hope you reconsider and e-mail me if you do reconsider.

Jan”

” I can’t tell you how many ODs & preamps I have inside the loop and how much better Sub sounds than all of them. The tones are beautiful!!

Don’t use your love of music over this.Take a nice long break. You have already lapped most of the field!

Dave”

And David Miller (who is one of the reasons I started this business):

“I just wanted to write to you and tell you how much I hope you find peaceand happiness in the wake of your decision to stop manufacturing pedals.  After reading your heartfelt words on the website, I completetely understand your thoughts and descision to suspend manufacturing.

To be honest, I have been reading all of your feedbacks since the ‘Plug & Smile’ days and have noticed at times your frustration in dealing with customers.
The retail business is a tough one, and sometimes people demand more than they deserve. I must say though, you havegiven more of yourself to the public than almost anyone I know.

I completely respect your talent and ability to create (Not copy) new concepts and idea’s – you have a true passion for designing new/different products that serves others in the way things should be done – this makes you a very special person.

In terms of the ‘business’ part of the deal, I am surprised you did as much as you did. You ‘hand built’ so many pedals, and satisfied so many musicians you deserve a medal.  I always wondered where your journey would lead.

David”

I am glad you are making a come back! I own a Mess Drive and it is hands down my favorite pedal. I was about to write a holiday gift idea blog for http://www.mi11.com and thought I would come back to your site for some info since I was going to mention the mess drive even though people couldn’t buy it. I am so glad that perhaps they will be able to soon! The blog will be posted this Thursday if you want to check it out.

My band recently recorded an album and I use the Mess Drive on one of the songs coupled with a Moogerfooger Lowpass Filter. You can check it out at http://www.budian.com in the media section, the song is called outlined.

    Like the new website also!
