MessDrive Hybrid Plus Bass Fuzz Effects Pedal

Most people describes MessDrive Hybrid+ as the “definition” of the bass fuzz. It has everything that a fuzz pedal should have and one of the most versatile pedals that is offered today. It is a very special pedal also for us, because it took us around a year to finally conlcude the design. In fact, regular MessDrive was a by-product of these efforts, although the final designs are not similar at all.

Thanks to the input transformer*, it works equally well with active and passive basses as well as extended range basses. It produces the “classic” fuzz sound without overpowering your precious instrument or the amp. Low gain settings are as usable as the higher gain settings.

With the vintage-modern toggle, gain and tone controls; it is possible for every bassist to find her/his signature sound. This new edition of MessDrive Hybrid+ has a slightly updated tone control section, which allows you to cut the access treble without turning the tone into mud.

Possibilities are endless! If you enjoy the thick fuzzy bass, this one will stay on your board forever!

* Transformer idea is based on the research done by Jack Orman. Please visit his web page for further imaginative ideas, such as AMZ Mini Booster.

For information on how we record samples, please visit Recoding FAQ page. The numbers refer to clock positions, for example Tone 12 means tone knob is set to 12 o’clock. If a toggle was set to default position, it is omitted in the title; i.e. if UltraBASS was off, there would be no reference to it. A particular toggle is only mentioned if it was on when that sample was recorded unless it is a two position mode switch.
